The United Way of Washtenaw County kicked-off the 5th annual Stuff the Bus event today.

A school bus will be parked at the Target off Carpenter this week from 9:00am to 3:00pm to collect donations of school supplies.

Last year $8,500 worth of school supplies were donated during the Stuff the Bus event, benefiting thousands of children throughout Washtenaw County.

The following are suggested items for donations:

• Backpacks
• Crayons
• Rulers
• Calculators
• Construction Paper
• Erasers
• Folders
• Glue
• Highlighters
• Markers
• Notebooks
• Pencil Sharpeners
• Pencils
• Pens
• Ruled Paper
• Scissors
