After a busy spring and summer of frenzied buying and rising prices, things are changing as we head into fall. Buyer demand continues to be strong, but the inventory shortage is easing, particularly in the higher price ranges. Sellers will need to be aware that home values will not move as much, and in those areas where inventories jumped quite a bit, values may decline for a short period of time until supply and demand balance again. Buyers who were having difficulty finding the right property earlier in the year may find more selection now.
