Downtown Ann Arbor’s South Main Street was named one of the best Main Streets in America by Fodor’s Travel.

Ann Arbor’s South Main Street was selected because of its appeal to visitors of all ages. It offers museums, colorful bars and restaurants, performance venues, and unique retail.
Recognition is nothing new for South Main Street. It was acknowledged in 2009 as a ‘Great Places in America: Streets’ contest, by the American Planning Association and Travel & Leisure magazine named South Main Street on its Top 15 ‘Greatest Main Streets’ in 2012.
Some other streets on Fodor’s Travel list: Duval Street, Key West, Florida; Beverly Street, Staunton, Virginia; and Main Street, Richmond, Indiana.
