Lite Bike Rides through Ann Arbor

On Sunday, September 15, the first ever “Lite Bike” will ride through the streets of Ann Arbor. The event encourages everyone to add lights to their bikes and ride them through Ann Arbor from 7-9 p.m.

Riders will begin at Arbor Brewing Co., in downtown Ann Arbor, and go through the city and return to a beer garden sponsored by Arbor Brewing Co.

The half block of Washington between Main Street and Fourth Avenue will be closed from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. for the ride.
Lite Bike aims to inspire leaders, business owners and citizens of Ann Arbor to support initiatives that will enable people to ride bikes more often. The ride is also designed to create awareness around the issue of bike safety, especially at night.
The ride is open to cyclists of all skill levels. Riders are required to comply with all traffic laws.
The cost is $12. Go here to register
Musical enjoyment is being provided by The Finer Things and Light Out for the Territory, who will take the stage outside Arbor Brewing. Tree Town Sound’s Matt Altruda is the emcee.
