Grillin’ 2013: A 24-Carrot Year

It is a 24-carrot year for Food Gathers.  Food Gathers believe that in a nation of plenty, no one should go hungry! That is why for over 20 years they have been putting on Grillin’, a picnic with a purpose.
Proceeds from Grillin’ enable Food Gatherers to distribute more than 5.75 million pounds of food annually to 150 non-profit programs serving people in need in Washtenaw County.

By purchasing just one adult ticket, you can provide up to 120 meals for the 1 in 7 adults – and 1 in 6 children- who struggle with hunger in Washtenaw County. So slide on your sandals, gather up your friends, and we will save you a seat! This year the picnic takes place Sunday, June 9, from 3pm-8pm at Washtenaw County Farm Council Grounds.

In addition to great food, there will be live music from Ben Daniels Band, Chris Dupont, and George Bedard and the Kingpins. Purchase tickets online now or at ticket sale locations: Beezy’s Café, Zingerman’s Deli, Bakehouse or Roadhouse; Saline Picture Frame Co., and Dexter Picture Frame Co. or call 734-761-2796.
