12 Ann Arbor Restaurants Offering Takeout Thanksgiving Dinners This Year

Between the quality time with loved ones and the delicious food, Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays. If you’d rather spend less time in the kitchen and more time catching up with family and friends this time around, there are several stress-free solutions for acquiring a tasty feast this coming season.

A number of restaurants and grocery stores in the Ann Arbor area are taking care of the prepping and cooking this Thanksgiving. All you have to do is place your order, arrange for pickup or delivery, set the table and dig in! 

Compari’s on the Park in Plymouth is one of our favorite places in the area to get traditional Italian fare. For Thanksgiving 2021, they are planning a carryout menu of traditional holiday favorites and Compari’s classics like lasagna, salmon, whole roasted turkeys, glazed spiral hams and more. There will also be vegetarian options available. Click here to see the entire menu and to place your orders.

For a vegan Thanksgiving you won’t soon forget, head to the Detroit Street Filling Station. This year, they are offering Thanksgiving meals for one person (with some leftovers, of course!) that feature seitan roast slices, an arugula, almond and cranberry salad, a pumpkin dinner roll, roasted root vegetables, cranberry sauce, wild mushroom gravy and a mini pumpkin pie for $38. As a beloved destination in Ann Arbor for special event catering, we aren’t surprised that Eat Catering is offering a fantastic Thanksgiving menu to help support your holiday feast this year. In 2021, they will be offering take away side dishes like soup, stuffing, salads, mac and cheese, creamed spinach, whipped sweet potatoes, pies and more. Famous for seafood, steaks and pasta dishes, Gandy Dancer is located in the beautifully restored 1886 Michigan Central Depot, making it the ideal setting for elegance, food and celebration. Doesn’t that sound like the perfect combination for Thanksgiving? Their 2021 Thanksgiving Feast-Brought-Home costs $289 and serves 10-12 people. One of Ann Arbor’s oldest businesses, Knights is an iconic eatery perfect for date nights, celebratory dinners and special occasions. This Thanksgiving, pick up a ready-made meal from Knights that includes delicious turkey, traditional stuffing, Knight’s rolls and butter, mashed potatoes, your choice of pie, and much more. You can choose to purchase a meal for four people or for two and you’ll be able to pick it up curbside on Wednesday the 25th or Thursday the 26th. Every year the Produce Station loves helping local families craft their perfect Thanksgiving feast! While Plum Market may have a handful of locations nationwide, they got their start right here in Ann Arbor. Today, they have four locations in the area, two in Ann Arbor and two in Bloomfield, all offering a fantastic selection of all-natural, organic and local items for you to enjoy.

Every year, Plum Market offers a huge to-go Thanksgiving feast, complete with an all-natural turkey, delicious sides, beautiful pies and perfect bottles of wine to top off the night. Salt Springs Brewery in Saline, nestled inside an old church adorned with stained glass windows, is a local favorite for tasty snacks and great beer. This Thanksgiving, stop by to pick up a family meal to-go! You’ll have your choice of entrée—a smoked turkey breast, butternut squash ravioli or smoked beef brisket—along with seasonal sides and a peach and blueberry crisp for dessert. Tippins Market is a one-stop-shop for a great bottle of wine or spirits, delicious pizza, and more tasty Italian treats and drinks. Throughout the pandemic, they’ve provided endless carryout meals and kits so we can bring the amazing taste of Tippins home with us—and Thanksgiving is no different! Choose either a classic turkey dinner or a prime rib dinner, both of which come with iconic Thanksgiving sides and, of course, pie. Weber’s has been serving the people and families of Ann Arbor since 1937 and the restaurant has become a go-to for prime rib, live Maine lobster and house-made desserts. For Thanksgiving 2021, they’re offering three different dining options. The first is family-style dining in their private banquet spaces for parties of at least 13 guests. The second option is a Thanksgiving dinner in the main dining room of their restaurant. Finally, the third and final option is a turkey dinner to-go!
