Michigan Ability Partners will host the third annual TasteFest event on Wednesday March 9, 2016 at Washtenaw Community College from 5:00 – 8:00pm.  TasteFest 2016 will consist of a sample tasting of many fine restaurants and a silent auction. Enjoy an evening of tasting, music, and celebration.
Proceeds benefit Michigan Ability Partners (MAP) which helps veterans and individuals with disabilities in need of employment services and affordable housing.  Last year, MAP assisted over 1100 people in finding housing or employment.

Chelsea Maple Festival
Maple Syrup Festival
Spring in Michigan means it’s time to celebrate this year’s bounty of maple syrup that is sure to find its way to your breakfast table. The festival started in 2012 and has grown in popularity each year. Come celebrate from March 12 – March 20.
Events include a pancake breakfast at the American Legion, and guided tours with educational tree tapping demonstrations at The Discovery Center. A select group of Chelsea restaurants also feature handcrafted maple dishes and beverages. The Chelsea Alehouse features a local maple craft beer each year and hosts a pancake breakfast to benefit The Big 400. Maple dining specials are served at The Common Grill and Cleary’s Pub.

The Saline Craft Show
The Saline Craft Show returns March 12th from 8:00am – 3:30 pm. This year’s show will highlight spring indoor and outdoor decor and fashions. The crafters’ displays embody skills and reflect respect for both the materials used and the processes. The handcrafted products feature original designs that can enhance the beauty of the buyer’s environment whether used in the home, garden or personally.
The Saline Schools Craft Shows are juried craft shows to ensure show visitors and shoppers of receiving the highest quality, one-of-a-kind and limited edition work.  The show features crafters from 14 states and is one of the top craft shows in Michigan.

Gamers for Giving
Gamers for Giving is a competitive gaming tournament and LAN party that helps generate resources for the initiatives of Gamers Outreach – such as building portable gaming carts for children in hospitals. This non-stop gaming marathon will take place within Eastern Michigan University’s Convocation Center during the weekend of March 12th & 13th.

The Ann Arbor Film Festival (AAFF)is returning for the 54th year Tuesday, March 15- Sunday, March 20.  The AAFF is the longest-running independent and experimental film festival in North America, established in 1963. Internationally recognized as a premiere forum for independent filmmakers and artists, each year’s festival engages audiences with remarkable cinematic experiences.
The six-day festival presents 40 programs with more than 180 films from over 20 countries of all lengths and genres, including experimental, animation, documentary, narrative, hybrid and performance based works.
