5 Secrets to Staging your Home to Sell

Staging your home is an important part of the home selling process. It is important to highlight your home’s strengthens and downplay its weaknesses. Most importantly, appeal to the greatest number of prospective buyers as possible. Here are 5 home staging secrets from HGTV’s Cora Sue Anthony.

1.  Get rid of any signs of pets, like the litter box or dog bowls. People can stumble over them, and buyers who aren’t animal lovers may be turned off.

Primp the Bathroom. Empty the trash, hang clean towels, and put out a fresh bar or bottle of soap.

Scent the Lawn. Add cedar or pine mulch to shrubs and flower beds.

Put away all fragile items that could break, in case prospective buyers bring their children along. Keep all knives out of the reach as well.

Remove small area rugs or runners. They can be tripping hazards when a lot of people are walking through your house at once.
