239 Apartments Being Built at Packard Square

The former Georgetown Mall, 2502 Packard Road, in Ann Arbor is beginning to take shape. Framing began last week for 249 apartments planned for the five-story building. A model unit is expected to be ready by late March or early April 2016, with move-ins anticipated to begin by Labor Day.
The mixed use residential and retail center will have one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. They will feature nine-foot high ceilings, six-foot windows, stainless steel appliances, along with Caesarstone quartz countertops and simulated hardwood flooring in the kitchen and living room. Each unit will also have a side-by-side washer and dryer.
On-site amenities include:
• 24-hour fitness center
• massage room
• yoga studio
• resident lounge
• surround-sound movie theater
• a full-size pool
• outdoor fireplace
• barbeque area
• whirlpool
An exclusive underground parking garage is also being constructed on site that will have approximately 150 resident only spaces. Surface parking will also be available with more than 300 spots available with a total of 465 spaces on site for residents.
According to the Packard Square website, pricing for one bedroom apartments starts at $1,169 a month and tops out at $2,344. Two bedrooms begin at $2,249 and go as high as $2,874. Three bedroom units range from $3,449 to $3,749.
In addition to the residential space a 24,000 square-foot retail center is also being constructed on site as part of roughly 362,000 square feet of construction on the property.
