Location, location, location! This home is in the heart of everything to see, do & live in vibrant Ann Arbor. I love the refinished wood floors, vintage 1950’s tiled bathroom, large flexible basement and private backyard.

Q. Can you describe the architectural style of the home?
Efficient, sensible, and comfortable — a cozy ranch that lives large! West facing, it’s a bright and cheery home that reflects the smart designs of the 1950’s. The owners have meticulously maintained the house and preserved its character & charm.

Q. What distinctive features set this home apart?
Where to start? A classic L-shaped kitchen with eat-in space, cute original built-ins, big closets, clean & flexible basement (office, guest room, home gym, rec room, etc.), private-feeling backyard with raised garden beds, easy care landscaping, insulated detached garage for year-round hobbies & projects, extra parking for guests and a fun location that lends to walkable/bikeable lifestyle.

Q. Have there been any recent renovations or upgrades?
Yes, so many! New furnace, A/C and hot water heater in 2016, the wood floors were refinished, a paver walkway was added between the driveway and the garage/side door, downspouts were buried and diverted away from the home, an insulated garage, basement foundation strengthened and waterproofed to provide a completely dry & usable space, plus newer paint throughout.

Q. Can you tell us a fun fact about the home?
I’m in LOVE with the retro bathroom, and I did a little digging into its background… Pink bathrooms have a colorful — and even important — history within American interior design. It’s believed that pink was the most popular color for bathroom tile in the 1950’s and that 5-10 million homes had pink bathrooms at the time.
We have former First Lady Mamie Eisenhower to thank for the trend — she used the color throughout the private quarters of the White House and the color is commonly referred to as “Mamie Pink” or “First Lady Pink.” Today you’ll know it as “Millennial Pink” and it’s making quit a stir these days.
Check out the websites savethepinkbathrooms.com and retrorenovation.com for proof that 1626 West Stadium’s bathroom is HOT!fun fact

Q. What makes the price of this home so great?
The Westside of Ann Arbor for under $280k? It’s priced to sell! Your new front yard will scream, “park cars on me on football Saturdays and make enough $ to pay your taxes!”
