Ypsilanti Heritage Festival: Back and Better than Ever

The 35th Annual Ypsilanti Heritage Festival kicks off this Friday. This year it is coming back and better than ever with a larger line-up and entertainment for everyone.
Enjoy the experience early by attending the special cruise night hosted by the Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum, featuring locally owned, produced, and restored classics. When the cruise night wraps up, Woodruff’s in Depot Town will have the Official Riverside Beer Garden Pre-Party featuring Hullabaloo and Anna Lee’s Company.

The festival officially goes from August 16 – 18. The festivities will turn all of Riverside Park into a stage with the Riverside Beer Garden Main stage, gazebo stage, the family entertainment stage, Powwow stage, and Chautauqua at the Riverside. There will be more fun than ever before.
DIYpsi and the Heritage Festival are joining forces in the Riverside Beer Garden. The collective is pairing Michigan beer with Michigan artists in their shows at Ypsilanti’s Corner Brewery and Woodruff’s Bar. DIYpsi will add their eclectic local artists to Heritage Festival’s traditional mix of crafters from around the country.  This is your chance to enjoy Michigan Craft Beer, charity gaming, music, and more.
After enjoying the DIYpsi and the beer garden there will be more activities to participate in. Friday, when the beer garden closes at midnight, catch a special set from The Ben Miller Band and Adam’s Ale. Saturday, you can see Covert with special guest Adam’s Ale.

In addition, there will also be free activities for children including live music, Boyer the Magic Guy, Colors the Clown, bounce houses, pony rides and more. The craft tent will include activities by the Girl Scouts of America, FLY Art Center and the Ypsilanti District Library among others throughout the weekend.
