The 17th Annual Festive Affair was held on Friday, October 10, 2008, at Ann Arbor's Kensington Court Hotel.  Festive Affair, presented by the Washtenaw Home Builders Association Foundation, benefits the Salvation Army and its Staples Family Center.  Ken Staples, an Ann Arbor builder, and his wife, Marianna, a member of the faculty of Adrian College, are dedicated to the cause of fighting homelessness.  It was through their efforts that in 2003 the Salvation Army was able to open the Staples Center, a 35-bed homeless shelter serving single adults, married couples, and families with children, for stays of up to 90 days.

Reinhart has supported Festive Affair from the beginning, and broker/owner Dave Lutton was the Honorary Chair of the event this year.
