Eastern Michigan University Jazz ConcertApril 2

Bop your head along with the music as Eastern Michigan University students showcase their musical talent. This free event takes place at the Pease Auditorium and is open to the public.


FoolMoon and FestiFoolsApril 7 & April 9

Get foolish this April at FoolMoon and Festifool. In the heart of downtown Ann Arbor, everyone and anyone is invited to gather in the streets to shake off the cold, gray winter at FoolMoon. The skyline will be filled with luminaries, interactive installations, laser shows, a beer tent sponsored by Grizzly Peak, DJs raised into the air, live dance performances, and oh so many more de-LIGHT-fool surprises. If you have never been to FoolMoon before, you won’t want to miss this event which runs from dusk until Midnight on April 7.

FestiFools is one of Ann Arbor’s cultural treasures. It is a humongous public art spectacular, created by members of the community and U of M students. Magnificent, colorful, bizarre, human-powered papier-mâché puppets join thousands of Foolish friends frolicking about downtown for one fun-filled hour. This event takes place April 9 from 4:00 – 5:00 pm.


First Fridays YpsilantiApril 7

First Fridays Ypsilanti is a self-guided monthly art and culture walk hosted throughout downtown Ypsilanti at multiple venues. Each month on the first Friday participating venues offer free art activities involving local artists, musicians, and/or tastings. The goal of the First Fridays Ypsilanti is to invite community members into the downtown area to support local talent and businesses while having a fun time!

 


Spring EggstravaganzaApril 15

The Spring Eggstravaganza started in 1998 has grown to the point where we have several hundred children and their parents participating in a morning of egg hunts, face painting, balloon twisters, a petting zoon, photo opportunities with the bunny and Easter egg coloring. The Spring Eggstravaganza is on April 15th at Lillie Park in Pittsfield Township from 11 am – 1 pm.

 


2017 EggstravaganzaApril 15

The 2017 Eggstravaganza is taking place April 15. Kids start at Busch’s, 565 E. Michigan Ave., Saline, and hop on over to participating businesses to pick up your egg. After you visit the businesses drop your stamped list off at Mickey’s Dairy Twist to enter a drawing to win one of 4 baskets filled with items donated from area businesses. 2017 Nations’ Cup Theatre On IceApril 20 – 23

The 2017 Nations’ Cup Interclub Theatre On Ice competition will feature the top teams from six countries competing in the newest—and most creative—discipline of figure skating. Theatre On Ice (TOI) is a form of competitive figure skating that combines the grace of figure skating with the excitement of theater and dance.

 


Rock the DistrictApril 22

Join State Street District and Ann Arbor’s 107one for the 2nd annual Rock the District. This free music festival will take place Saturday, April 22, from 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm and will be open to all ages. The main stage will be on the corner of Maynard Street and East William. The lineup includes: Theo Katzman, The Go Rounds, Chris DuPont, Misty Lyn & The Big Beautiful, Girls Who Care and many more.

Annual Ann Arbor Earth Day FestivalApril 23

The Ann Arbor Earth Day Festival Planning Committee invites all to celebrate our natural world at the annual Earth Day Festival on Sunday, April 23 from noon to 4 p.m. at Leslie Science & Nature Center, 1831 Traver Road in Ann Arbor. This free, family-friendly event features displays from over 30 local environmental, non-profit and governmental organizations; live animal demonstrations; learning presentations around sustainable living; hands-on activities; live entertainment; crafts; green building and commuting solutions; energy topics; water awareness; recycling topics; sustainable agriculture; and much more. The Earth Day Festival will be full of entertainment and engaging activities for visitors of all ages.

 


Ypsilanti Community Choir Spring ConcertApril 27

Under the direction of Ariel Toews-Ricotta, the Ypsilanti Community Choir will present a variety of musical pieces, ranging from sacred to show tunes, from jazz to family favorites, from golden oldies to contemporary hits. We are happy to provide an enjoyable, family-friendly musical experience that can be enjoyed by all ages.
