After attending University of Michigan and settling in Ann Arbor, Dave entered the real estate business as a sales associate in 1974. He joined the Reinhart Company as a Sales Manager in 1979. In 1994 he purchased the company. He oversaw significant growth in both sales offices and the sales force, and also established Ann Arbor Mortgage Company with Bill Holmes in 1996. In 2001 he sold minority interests in the Reinhart Co. to Marsha Volchoff and Bill Miller. That partnership is still in place today with consulting support from the company’s founder, Chuck Reinhart.
A resident of Scio Township for more than 30 years, Dave and his wife, Louise have raised two sons. Louise is well known locally as an art teacher. Dave has served on many non-profit boards. Most prominently as Chair of the Ann Arbor Community Foundation, the Board of the Washtenaw Housing Alliance, and currently as Co-Chair of the 2013 United Way of Washtenaw campaign.
“We’ve grown and prospered in the greater Ann Arbor market by focusing on quality. That is, quality people providing quality services across the spectrum of residential and commercial real estate. We are a mature company in our 43rd year, but we try extremely hard to embrace change and adapt to new forces and conditions in the marketplace. Ann Arbor and the surrounding communities have been wonderful places to build our business.”
