About Me

I have lived my entire life in Southeastern Michigan, but have lived in Washtenaw County for the past thirty years after I fell in love with the area when attending Eastern Michigan University where I studied Real Estate and Land Use Analysis.

After a brief period as a municipal planner, I worked as a commercial and residential appraiser for 30 years. Much of my commercial work was for condominium or subdivision development. I am knowledgeable in income and investment properties and, myself, own rental properties.  In addition to mortgage work, I completed estate, probate, and divorce appraisals, so I am proficient in finding solutions for a variety of real estate issues that may arise.

Along with my husband, I wrote, “Hiking Michigan” – hence my love of the many trails and recreational attributes of the area, which I would be happy to share with you. Community activities have revolved around my passion for the land and included volunteering as an Easement Monitor with the Legacy Land Conservancy and as a Steward with the State Park Stewardship Program. Currently, I am a Lake Monitor with the Cooperative Lakes Monitoring Program. My desire is to keep our area an attractive place to call home. I have been a member of the Chelsea Community Garden since 2010.

If you are looking for a new home, wish to sell the one you have, or to find rental opportunities, please give me a call.  I am happy to discuss your needs.

Sue went above and beyond to support me throughout the entire process. She even returned early from a trip out of town to be at the closing. I would highly recommend her services.

Kathleen Siler

She takes initiative to solve outstanding problems and goes the extra mile to do so, I.e. representing us out-of-Towners in meeting plumbers, structural engineer, appraiser, etc at the property that had the owner still living there and needing to constantly check with the listing realtor to keep protocol but yet push to move ahead.

Sue Wedzel did a magnificent job recently, selling our house in Chelsea, Michigan. She recommended an asking price higher than we would have thought feasible, and she sold the house for a little more than what she had recommended. She worked well and harmoniously with the contractor who did extensive repairs and renovation. She was tireless and meticulous in pursuing a sale, even when, as we discovered, she was on a brief vacation. She’s a great agent and we recommend her highly.
