Real Estate, home building, and house restoration have been a part of my life as far back as I can remember, so I am thrilled to be a part of the Charles Reinhart Company Realtors!

As a lifelong resident of the Ann Arbor area, having grown up in Salem and Superior Townships, I know and love the city of Ann Arbor.  From the amazing culture amenities, the lively streetscapes, beautiful historic neighborhoods, and the natural beauty of the Huron River, parks, and surrounding countryside, it truly is one the best and most livable cities in the country.

Upon graduation from University of Michigan, where I earned a BA in History in 2000, I began purchasing, restoring and selling neglected historic houses.  In 2008, I won a Rehabilitation Award from the Ann Arbor Historic District Commission for the restoration of my current residence.  In addition, I have worked as a painting and restoration contractor for over 20 years.  Between my own projects, and working on my clients’ houses, I have seen just about everything when it comes to older and historic homes, good and bad.  It is my hope that I can use my extensive experience to help my clients make informed decisions when it comes to buying or selling a home, whether it was built last year or 150 years ago.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking around Argo Pond and the Bird Hill Nature area, gardening and landscaping, traveling and being active in many local historical groups.  I am the former Chair of the Ann Arbor Historic District Commission, have served on the HDC Awards Committee and was the Chair of Germantown Historic District Study Committee.  I have also volunteered at Cobblestone Farm and the Kempf House Museum.  In 2014, my book Historic Ann Arbor: An Architectural Guide, which I co-authored with Susan Wineberg was released. It features profiles of 375 of Ann Arbor’s most significant historic buildings, and is one of my proudest accomplishments.

I live on the north side of Ann Arbor in an 1845 Greek Revival house with my wife Andrea, our tripod rescue dog Coco Puff, and our two cats.
